How the Passport Works

The program is designed on attendance and objective bonuses.

01

Declare Your Home Province

You’ll declare your home province once. That determines your home cluster for the season.

02

Attend Participating Events

Earn points simply by attending participating Canada Westie Passport events.

03

Earn More for Cross-Canada Travel

Attending events outside your home cluster earns more points and supports national connection.

04

Points Become Prize Entries

Each point equals one national prize draw entry once you meet the minimum qualification.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to compete to participate?

No. Competition is not required. Social dancers, workshop-only attendees, volunteers, and competitors are all welcome to take part in the Canada Westie Passport.

How is attendance verified?

Attendance is confirmed by participating event directors. You do not need to submit proof, receipts, or check in separately — verification happens behind the scenes.

Do I apply more than once?

Apply once per season. Your participation and points accumulate across all participating events during that season. A new season starts fresh with a new application.

How does volunteer participation work?

Unpaid volunteer assistance may qualify for bonus points when confirmed by the event director. Volunteers receiving payment, travel reimbursement, or free registration are not eligible for the volunteer bonus.
